G.I. COMBAT featuring the haunted tank

DC put out some cool war books. our army at war, featuring sgt. rock of course, weird war tales,
and then there's g.i. combat featuring "the haunted tank"!



I have issue 167, so it ran for a while. oh, I just checked. it lasted until issue #288! if i'm understanding correctly, the haunted tank (created by bob kanigher) is haunted by gen. jeb stuart, and tank commander 'jeb stuart' is named for him. and the insane old pro-slavery ghost protects the tank and crew while they beat snot out of the nazis. mine has some nifty art inside by sam glanzman, with a joe kubert cover



kind of a fun book! i'd heard about this book, but never knew what the hell it was about. they should've updated it top vietnam at some point
