Ready Player One director Steven Spielberg revealed at the Empire Awards last night that Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones 5 filming will begin in the UK in April 2019!
“It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here,” he said.
Set for a July 20, 2020 release date, the film will again see Spielberg teaming up with Harrison Ford, who is reprising his iconic role, and franchise producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshal. The screenplay is written by David Koepp.
Famed archaeologist and explorer Indiana Jones was introduced in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark – one of AFI’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time – and later thrilled audiences in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The four films have brought in nearly $2 billion at the global box office.
Spielberg previously promised one big thing for the fifth installment, while Bob Iger — Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lucasfilm’s parent company Disney — has said that Indiana Jones 5 won’t be the last film.

If they want to keep the franchise going, the only way I could see them pulling it off is to find a non cringe-inducing actor to replace Shia LaDouche in the roll as Indiana Jones's son. Otherwise, they'll end up having to use cgi to make Harrison Ford not look like an old man pulling off impossible feats for a guy his age.

If they use his actual age of 75, the movie should really take place in the mid to late 1970s, since Indy was born in 1899.

well, you know, the old f-cker stays in good shape. every other week he's in the news for pulling off some sort of damn airplane or car wreck rescue. and i've tried to stay a fan of ranting psycho alec baldwin. i'm alone here, but I LOVED the shadow!
but when he ranked out on harrison ford in his bio, that fat f-ck broke his shovel with me.

Holy shit! Is that a picture of Harrison Ford now? He's in Sylvester Stallone old man shape! He probably could pull off a couple more films.
Stallone admits to using human growth hormone to beat back Father Time. I wander if Ford does, too.

i think this was when he was gearing up to do force awakens a couple years ago. he might be using something, but not to the extent of stallone. when i saw the expendables I was stunned! he was in impossible shape to what, 70? arnold has gotten in shape again too, but i think just from weight training. yeah, but harrison looks like a tough old f-cker. and he's screwing allie mcbeal! whatever he's doing must be working for him

The theme always seems to be what the big movies were during the time period. For the 30s/40s, you had high adventure pulp nsort of stuff. For the 50s, it was aliens/sci-fi. For the 60s/70s, my guess is it would be espionage and spies.

Here's Stallone in "Bullet to the HEad"
THat came out in 2012, which isn't that long ago when you consider this board is about that old. Stallone is a year older than Arnold Swcharzenaeger and looks about 20 years younger. I wish I were rich so I could take HGP the way other other guys his age take their Centrum Silver.
