Any way to fix the navigation on multiple-page threads?

I noticed this a while ago, and a couple of people have mentioned it more recently. There are no navigation buttons on multi-page threads that allow you to go from one page to another... or at least on the desktop version of the site. When I'm viewing the site with my phone, I see the navigation buttons. But when using a desktop computer, the buttons appear for a second while the page loads, then completely disappear.

Is there any way to fix this, Babu?
