OK,the first episode was good. It was nice to see they got the character right. The only exception being is that he did not smoke. I think I saw somewhere that he would not be smoking. I wish they would change their mind about that.

Yeah, the powers that be decided not to ever show him smoking... because somehow smoking is the worst thing that could happen in a show like Constantine.
I've heard that the actor playing Constantine is playing him as if he does smoke, so whenever there's a scene change, you should mentally picture him just flicking a spent cigarette butt onto the ground before the scene starts. He would also smell like a heavy smoker, so keep that in mind, too.

Just watched the second episode. Constantine got as far as putting a cigarette in his mouth but didn't get to light it.
This show is really good. Why it's stuck at such a poor timeslot on a Friday is beyond me.

The timeslot is poor, but let's hope they don't move it to the same time slot as Walking Dead. The River tried it, and despite being a good show on its own right, it was still cancelled after one season.

I think NBC put it there to try and get the Grimm fans to stick around.
