well, i don't want him to make us fat, like he did batman in 'the dark knight returns'! did you know that the biggest problem bob kane had with 'the dark knight returns' is that batman was balding? i had a 'comics scene' magazine from back then, and kane was incredibly pissed about that

That was his biggest problem? That he was losing hs hair? Did he miss the part about it being an old Batman?
It's a shame he didn't live to see The Dark Knight Strikes Again. Then he could really be pissed

as I recall, the interviewer was kind of baffled that when he brought up "the dark knight returns" -- that considering the R rated content -- the one thing that pissed bob off was the baldness. kane said words to the effect that everyone doesn't go bald. and i believe he briefly mentioned the 'future' stories where he gave bruce wayne graying sideburns. i wish i was on CBR, I'd throw it out there to see if anyone remembers. bruce wayne can't lose some hair, oh, but it was okay for bob to give batman a rip van winkle beard! i've long maintained that bob kane was half nuts
btw, significantly, in the animated 'dark knight returns' -- they gave bruce superhero hair again. they made bruce looked better, and superman look worse (almost like ronald reagan) than frank miller did

The Dark Knight Returns would have been better if Batman had had the Rip Van Winkle beard.

well, 'mo' better ..." hit 3008, so I re-read some of it to try and figure out what the damn big deal is, so it's probably higher now. I don't get it! there's no big banana, no mr. sassy tassles. no interns! no klangerbot, not even kenny & buddy! it's sort of like the movie 'event horizon'. which has a huge fanbase, and no one can understand why. yet, the public can't get enough of it
it does have one of yer patented satisfying endings baboon, so that might be a factor. in comparison, the compelling and very gripping, "the mall of justice mystery starring the m.a. interns" is only at 388 hits! damn! i thought that one might cause a publisher to want to spin it off into a series of exciting adventures for young girls and make us damn 'twilight' type money

I think Mo' Better Monkeyhouse" might very well be our Citizen Kane.

and "mo' better mokeyhouse's" assent continues! it's headed for 3200 and there seems to be no stopping it. maybe NASA should shoot it into space along with beethoven's 5th symphony and all the shakespeare plays as a record of all that mankind was able to attain

3353 hits now! i figure "Mo' Better ... " is averaging around 200 to 300 more hits a month. yow! i'm going to read the whole thing again right now! it's a good thing it's so popular, otherwise our stery sections seem to be dying off. jesse has been keeping the writer's block alive all my his lonesome
THE ALWAYS FASCINATING CHRISTY BALLATON

I know I've been failing in my writing duties, but I've been distracted. I've become drunk on the god-like power The Sims gives me over the citizens of Pleasantview and Strangetown!
