Per the Mirror
It seems Doctor Who will be taking her shortest time trip ever, from a Sunday to Saturday…
BBC bosses are planning on moving the show to its original evening slot after a steady ratings slide during Jodie Whittaker’s debut series.
The Sunday run kicked off with 8.2 million viewers in October but had slipped to 5.2 million for the last episode in December.
An insider revealed: “There is a feeling families are freer to watch on Saturdays than Sundays, when kids have homework to finish.
"While the show rated well overall, there were concerns over the decline in audience.

The series, featuring Jody Whittaker, averaged a respectable audience of 5.7million across the 10 episodes
“Returning to Saturdays is being discussed as a likely option.”
Episodes for the new Doctor Who series, out early next year, are already being filmed.
Whittaker’s run had a mixed response. Some said storylines were too politically correct but others loved the joy she brought.

Jodie Whittaker Is the Face of a New Generation.
then why is nobody f-cking watching?!!
from all the pics & previews i saw, the actress seemed just an incredibly boring choice. i don't even want to do her! and that is just sad. who could they have put in? elizabeth hurley? i'd have watch it! helen mirren? i'd have tuned in! rebel wilson? wild horses couldn't have kept me away!
i'd have watched it with dame judy dench! i'd have watched it with jane hathaway!
still, generally i prefer my dr. whos with gonads.
but this might be good in the long run. jodie whittaker has cleansed our palates! okay, we're ready for another tom baker now.

The biggest sin a show can commit is to be boring. I was willing to defend her at first and say it's not her fault the scripts suck and Chibnall doesn't know what he's doing. Then I read where she said, "Very often, we’re only seeing stories being told through the white male gaze. That's what Doctor Who has always celebrated." If my eyes had rolled any further, I'd be permanently blind. Now, I'm just ready for her and Chib-nuts to get the hell out. There's a rumor that their next season might be the last. They're taking a year break. Why can't the BBC go ahead and replace them now?
My personal choice for Doctor would be Richard Ayoade of The IT Crowd.
