i watch this guy's youtube channel sometimes. he 'stealth camps' -- camps in odd locations. wooded areas in suburban neighborhoods, off limit beaches and things, sometimes with an old school bus, or ghost towns. he "hunkers down" (his slogan) grills sandwiches or some kind of food -- sometimes with a guy he calls 'crazy neighbor' who seriously looks the part. steve seems like a great guy and i saw that with ads his channel makes something like 900$ a day! pretty damn good. also he sells merch. good for him. but today i saw something terrible.

How did she die? yeah damn. i dunno, haven't heard yet. he was celebrating that his channel hit a million subscribers just 11 days before! he had become getting referred to as "the bob ross of stealth camping" because of his calm voice. i wish i'd shared it here before. him & crazy neighbor ice-fishing was a highlight. i'll post it. and the birthday party I think anyone could have showed up for. the lady with the accent is hilarious. "is that crazy neighbor?"

I think that calm disposition comes with being Canadian. I can't believe they're using a heater and grill on a frozen lake! I'd be afraid I'd end up IN the lake!

I'd be afraid I'd end up IN the lake! yeah.  maybe 32 below is safe, i don't know. i can't believe people were driving on it! nice a restaurant sent them over free food. otherwise, it didn't seem like that much fun. no fish, freezing cold, u wake up the next morning snuggled up to crazy neighbor 
there's a golf course near where i work, and last winter i saw 2 guys on a man-made lake there, icefishing! i didn't know there were even fish there. they had their tiny canvas chairs, and they were going for it. it was only down to about 20 degrees. i wouldn't have got my fatass out there |

I'm not sure I could get into ice fishing. I've recently taken up hiking. Mostly because the group I go with brings beer. Really, it's more like an excuse for day drinking.

day drunk -- that is where it's at! any bastard can get drunk after 5'oclock. day drunk is sort of what heaven might be like
