incredibly, I just now started watching this. i'm gonna have to bogart a bunch of episodes to get caught up. the production values look amazing -- it looks like they spent 'lord of the rings' money on it. and now, hitler is pissed that sean bean died again
"sean bean. the guy is a two-legged spoiler. He always snuffs it."

So you started with season three? That had some pretty shocking moments, too.
... Some more squeamish than others.

sometimes you really know you're watching HBO! I missed most of the season opener, that probably didn't help. it's crazily well produced

My favorite character is the dwarf. He seems to get the best lines.
The guy playing him is supposed to be in the new X-Men movie.

I read the book.
well, technically I read the comic book adaptation of the books. I've already got enough on my plate for another show, but I watch episodes here and there. I specifically watched the Red Wedding just to see how it looks like in action. It was awesome and disturbing at the same time (I'm a new father, so what happened to Robb's offspring was particularly cringe-worthy.)
