There's A Chance Iron Man Could Appear In Doctor Who...
Avengers Actor, Robert Downey Jr has revealed that he thinks Doctor Who is an "incredible series" and it's possible that he could appear in the BBC One hit show.
Downey Jr has a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread. A user had asked a rather intriguing question. The question being whether Robert would ever go for a role in Doctor Who if given the chance.
Downey Jr came back with this response:
"It’s funny you’d bring that up. A writer asked me to watch a particular episode about a month ago, in hopes of helping us break a story on a project. An incredible series. Anything’s possible." - Robert Downey Jr
The questions on everyone's minds is: Who would he play? There's of course the chance that he could possibly take on the main role as the beloved Time Lord, The Doctor. But, what he took on the role as the other famous Time Lord, The Master. The Master or Missy if you like is currently female and played by Michelle Gomez. Who's to say Downey Jr won't be the next incarnation?
The world now starts to pray that Robert Downey Jr steps into the Whoniverse for the very first time. Series Ten of Doctor Who has a Spring 2017 air date and current Showrunner, Steven Moffat apparently has a big plan lined up before he steps down in 2018. Broadchurch Showruner, Chris Chibnall will replace Steven Moffat as Doctor Who Showrunner in 2018 with Series Eleven.moviepilot.com/posts/3808557

Can the BBC even afford him nowadays?

I doubt any tv show could afford him these days. If he was on it, it would have to be just because he's a fan and really wants to be on.

Is Peter Jackson still directing an episode?

I've heard he would be willing to do it if they gave him a dalek. I hope they take him up on it.

Don't give him a Dalek. He's probably going to reverse engineer the tech and use it on another one of his pro-registration schemes.

Nah, it's Peter Jackson who wants a dalek to direct an episode. Apparently, he already has a few. That's one hell of a thing to collect.

and a dangerous one. maybe one of his daleks is just dormant. When it wakes up, it's going to take more than a bunch of midgets with hairy feet to defeat it.

I'm ok with Peter Jackson having a Dalek. If it was Tito Jackson, I would have some reservations.

I don't think Daleks should be directing episodes of Doctor Who. Sets a bad precedent. I mean, what next? A Cyberman writing, producing, and starring in a one-Cyberman show on Broadway? ... ... ... actually, I would watch the hell out of that.

There was a guy here in Alabama who built a life sized remote control Dalek. He entered it in the Cos-play contest at Dragon Con. It cos-played as the fourth Doctor.

If an American were to play the Doctor, my choice would be Christopher Walken. Or a younger Gene Wilder.
Then there's this April Fool's prank by Bruce Campbell

That is pretty crazy. I wish he'd created a clip from his "Christmas special".
