i don't know. that looks sort of ... cheap. like roddenberry's 'earth final conflict' nearly 20 years ago. maybe they just went cheap on the trailer. i hope so
(look at the black guy. "go hammer, go hammer go! go hammer, go hammer go!")

I hope it does sucks since it's on a pay streaming service and I'll never see it.

I want Star Trek to succeed as a TV series. I just hope they make it available on a second-run basis to the rest of the world, since it's not even physically possible for anyone outside the USA to subscribe to this channel.

I'm guessing people from my side of the world will get to see it the same way they did NuWho, Walking Dead, and GoT - through torrents and pirated discs. It's only when it gets famous through word of mouth (or social media) that the local cable stations will start buying seasons. Local free to air stations are a no go (since we only have 2, and they no longer air foreign shows. Just 4 hours of news a day, and the rest is filled with local variety shows and soap operas, both of the garbage variety.)

I'll sit this one out and wait until they start bringing back the 90s. Slightly better music and hair, and lots of really cool kid's shows.

from what I've heard, it's set in the original universe.
