I didn't read the article, so I'm not sure if it mentions it or not, but Adam Sandler once admitted on a late night talk show that he basically stopped trying to make funny movies. Whether he spends a lot of time crafting a really funny movie or craps out a turd, he still makes tons of money. So why not employ all his friends and go on incredible vacations by crapping out dumb movies in extravagant locations?
Yeah, his movies are utter shite, though I did enjoy Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and the Wedding Singer.

i like those. i thought 'grown ups' was funny. i ain't seen 'grown ups 2'. but he's done stuff (zohan) that's just gut wrenching.i think people have just gotten sick of his persona. i'm slightly more sick of ben stiller. him and owen wilson playing fiddy year old fashion models in zoolander 2. wilson looked like kaitlyn jenner

Click was the last Adam Sandler movie I can think of that I enjoyed. 50 First Dates came on Comedy Central a while back and it harkened back to a time when Adam Sandler was entertaining and Drew Barrymore was highly bangable.

'50 first' was one of the date movies you didn't want to see, but then liked anyway. yeah, that was before we realized drew was a mental case. like we use to think gwyneth paltrow was sort of hot back before we heard she never showers
