What did everyone think of the Christmas special? I thought it was a lot of fun. And fun is something the show has really needed. Moffat found an interesting way to make an American super hero fit into the Doctor Who universe. It looks like Nardol will be a funny new addition to the show, too.

i have to watch it a second time before i can form an opinion! i found clara's departure confusing, but he might be okay. i loved me some pompidou

They aren't playing him up much in the previews, but I think he'll probably be one of the best parts of the new season.
