Dear sassy tassels, on this wonderful Martin Luthor King holiday, which is a good time to look at america's checkered past, but appreciate how far we've come, I was watching an old episode of the andy griffith show and ... oh i'll just post the link.
Does anybody know if that sack of shit Andy Griffith is still alive? Because I want to kick his ass.

Oops that was me, I posted the name in the wrong spot. Apparently Andy Griffith died a couple years ago. That's a shame. Yeah, Ron Howard played his son Opie, right? He's bald as a coot! If I challenge him to a bare knuckles boxing match to the death, or a duel with pistols, do you think he's up for it ?

Dear Borgnine 328,
That's actually a rare gem you've found there. It's one of the storyboards for the lost "Manny Griffith" episodes. A common TV trope in the old days was the 'evil twin'. TV writer Saul Greenwood came up with the idea of giving Andy an evil twin, Manny Griffith, who would engage in all sorts of shenanigans and then Andy would have to prove his innocence. This would have led to episodes like "Manny sells heroin to schoolkids", Manny shoots up the general store", and "Manny opens a massage parlor in Mayberry" (which would have made the Andy Griffith Show the first one on TV to deal with sex trafficking"). Unfortunately, Saul's scripts tested poorly with test audiences, so the character Manny Griffith never made it to screen. It's a shame. His "Manny stages a Home Invasion" script was said to be riveting.

here's another one where barney "came out". the writers were getting pretty daring, but the network was having none of it.
andy's givin' him the eye! this is supposedly the only existing still from "manny stages a home invasion". split-screen evil twins or cousins were all the rage back then. i wonder if thelma lou got out of those ropes ?

Poor Thelma Lou. bound and gagged and the man she loves is about to come out. This would have made riviting television!
