I first came across the art of Milo Manara as a teenager. And aside from some of the erotic aspects of some of his work, I was amazed by the attention to detail and beauty of his illustrations. Marvel knew what it was getting when they hired him. His reputation is what it is. It's a shame that professionally offended fans stirred up a controversy and the other covers were cancelled. Especially when you consider these were just variant covers

The Spider-Woman one is kinda grotesque, but all the others are awesome.

It's a shame that the others didn't get to be printed because of the controversy. Especially when it was just a variant, so fan's had the option to purchase the regular one.
What really made me mad was that her costume was changed afterwards. The original was cool as hell. I'd go as far to call it iconic. (Well, as iconic as a b-lister can be)
