Something has happened this past year. Baboon Girl is starting to look like one of Raplph Kricfalusi's Spumco gals.
There are already a couple of football players acting like Tex Avery wolves around her.
Luckily, she's hung up on this nerdy intellectual guy. He's pretty clueless on how to pay proper attention to a girl, thou, so he's about to blow it.
I think, for the summer, I'm going to get her one of these burkinis.

As a second-time father with a newborn baby girl, I'm not looking forward to dealing with this in 13/14 years from now. I'm hoping we'll be able to put her off from dating until, say, college. But that might be out of my control.

People used to always make comments about boys coming around and I'd laugh and say, "Ha! The nuns at the convent aren't going to let her date." That option is starting to look better and better now.
Unfortunately, the harmless geeky guy is going away to camp for a month and to Florida for a couple of weeks with his family.
But like I said, he's kind of clueless anyway. Together, they're kind of like Doc Magnus and Platinum of the Metal Men.

i'm lucky my girl's still a stick. and running track. i'm trying to use up all her spare time & keep her worn out. that harmless geek is gold! you've struck gold! hang onto him. I want a guy like sue's bf in 'the middle' who was flaming, but had no idea. her dad was thrilled with him

You may be onto something there. This guy is a member of show choir and just won a slot in the school's acapella group.
