A man named Joe meets his adult son at a local pub for a drink.
"Junior," Joe said, "I have cancer. I'm going to die soon."
"Oh, no!" exclaimed the son as tears filled his eyes.
A group of friends noticed the somber pair and approached them. One man asked "what's up, Joe?"
Joe said "I'm not long for this world. I've got AIDS."
The group had a toast in Joe's honor and went back to their tables.
"Dad," Junior said, "why did you tell them you had AIDS and not cancer?"
Joe said,"After I'm gone, I don't want 'em fuckin' your mother."
"Junior," Joe said, "I have cancer. I'm going to die soon."
