Interesting. I remember when the Thundercats suddenly became so popular that the first issue of the tie-in comic quickly rose up in value. But since I'd never really seen Thundercats, and only flipped through the comic at my local shop, I couldn't understand the appeal.

Wildstorm had a probably not too safe for kids comic drawn by Ed Benes at one time.
In 2011, there was an attempted revival by Cartoon Network that was sort of anime with more serious artwork and storytelling. The Lion-o in that seemed younger, but he later turned out to be the son of the original.
