i have a couple of issues of DC's horror book unexpected, drawn by an artist named bill payne. he was doing some pretty exciting work back then. i looked into him a month or so ago and there's basically no info on him. someone at cbr lauded his work & referred to him as a mystery, or words to that effect. i saw him referred to as canadian, but another piece i found on him said he was actually american, but after leaving comics went to work in canada. i'd like to have seen him do a decent book. something akin to swamp thing
