It was fun, but I feel like shows like "Mad Men" and "Bewitched" really underplay the drinking.
You and I know who Alan Hunter is, but he ain't Elvis. You wouldn't know it from the way he acted. His grin said, "Yes, it's me. Calm down. I put my parachute pants on one leg at a time just like anyone else." And this was a good 10 - 15 years after his hey-day.
We were working pro-bono for the film festival and they were such a pain in the ass that WE fired THEM as a client.

i don't know baboon. mad men might have slightly underplayed the drinking. but bewitched? i can imagine 1960's/70's 'bewitched' advertising kingpin larry tate (the silver fox), on a particularly stressful day, might pull his 1967 buick roadmaster over onto a roadside park, pop the hood, pull out a curly straw & start sucking down the antifreeze!
larry tate: "i have a perfect idea for the campaign!"
mrs. tate: "why is the car over-heating?!!"

lol. Bewitched might have had a better handle on it. That agency had a fridge filled with free beer and wine for the employees, No water or soft drinks. Just booze. Around 4 or 5, someone would yell "it's Beer:30!" and we'd hit the fridge.
The idea might have been to get us to stay at work longer, but I'm not sure they got the best stuff by getting all their creatives hammered.
