I came across these while looking for volumes 2 and 4 of the latest reprint (the one that has the Netflix badge, which consolidates 10 volumes into four)
It's selling for a really tempting price, I have to admit (the entire 11 volume set costs around $40 USD) - it might be good to have another complete set just for reading and to throw around. I could even accept the fact that they didn't print the covers all the way through. But the spine is a dealbreaker. They didn't even bother to correct the typo on Gaiman's name. I mean, they obviously have a copy of the books they printed. They could have checked if they got the name right (they managed to get it right on one of the volumes, so they're not even consistent in their mistakes.):

I'd be tempted. It's weird they didn't catch that typo, though.
Did you catch the Netflix series?

I binged the Netflix series. Pretty good overall. I originally had low expectations because of how hostile they were to people expressing doubt over the race and genderswitched casting. I thought they were just going to pander and virtue signal like a lot of nerd media adaptations these days. But I was pleasantly surprised when I watched - they were very good in their roles (especially the girl who played Death)....except for the Lucienne actress. Her portrayal was annoying. She was a decent actress but she played the part wrong. Lucien was supposed to be wise, patient, and super devoted to Morpheus. She played the character as if she was one of those snarky employees that secretly hate their boss (she's basically a less acerbic Merv.) She also doesn't give off librarian vibes.
I would have preferred a male actor in the Lucifer role (or barring that, an androgynous woman like Tilda Swinton), but Gwendolyn Christie did a good enough job that it wasn't immersion breaking.
Rose is getting a lot of hate recently because of "wooden acting," but I dunno - she acted like most teenagers these days. Perhaps the people who were complaining are old people who forgot what teenagers were like.
I would have preferred they had John Constantine (particularly Matt Ryan), but I understand that they simply used a descendant of Johanna Constantine (plus the licensing conflicts) I also liked Jenna Coleman as Clara in Doctor Who - and that's basically who her Constantine is, she's Clara Oswald as a magic conman.
Thewlis as Dee was the standout for me. The comic book version had no redeeming value and was just a one-dimensional antagonist. Thewlis' version was more sympathetic. Where the comic book version was an evil villain, Thewlis was more of a mentally ill person who fell victim to circumstances. I like how he was still capable of showing kindness (and IMHO, he actually meant well. He was just misguided).

I feel the same way about Constantine. It's a shame licensing got in the way of using the real deal. The thong with Death bothered me because her look was based on a real person: Cinamon Hadley. This being a comic, there were two creators involved, so his contribution should have been respected, too. The actor they chose did a good job, though.

somehow, it bugs the f-ck out of me that they can't call captain marvel, "captain marvel". that's who he is! i really enjoyed the 'shazam' movie, but fact they can't call 'the world's mightiest mortal' c.m. bugged me the whole time. it (big red) cheesed me off enough that i didn't watch marvel's capt. marvel film. well, that & the fact that brie larson is such a bitch.

I'm in the minority here, but I actually like Brie Larson and her Captain Marvel. It's a shame, she had a decent reputation before she became Captain Marvel (She can act. She's also an attractive woman, and the fact that she doesn't look like a super model is a plus for me). Where it went wrong is with how Marvel pushed her character. They forced Captain Marvel down our throats as the next focus of the MCU (with Iron Man and Cap on their way out). Then Brie Larson (or whoever handles her PR) made it so much worse with all the chest-puffing interviews and the vlogs that had her trying to do normal wacky stuff (but in an obviously rehearsed way). I feel the same way about Constantine. It's a shame licensing got in the way of using the real deal. The thong with Death bothered me because her look was based on a real person: Cinamon Hadley. The thing about this is that Gaiman has gone full-on progressive throughout the years. He was already progressive in his youth, but went full-on woke when he got married to Amanda Palmer. Anybody who criticized the racebent casting on The Sandman on Twitter got dunked on by Gaiman and his fans.
