Technically, I have to side with the Muslim students here. They did not agree (or maybe their religion does not allow them to support) the LGBTQ pride parade, so they chose to skip class. That's significantly better than what we've seen from extremists, who would have gone ahead and protested (or worse, disrupted) the event. The teacher, on the other hand, is trying to force the Muslim students to participate.
I don't know if the teacher has gone so deep into her progressivism that she lost a couple of brain cells on the way down, but trying to force her progressive beliefs onto Muslims is not the smartest of ideas - the school issued an apology letter immediately and washed their hands off of the teacher instead of brushing everything under the table or supporting the progressive teacher (like what would have happened if the students that skipped the pride event where white christians). It shows that the school is also afraid of pissing off the Muslim community.
I mean, really, the progressives might have become complacent that they are no longer picking their battles. Now they're going after a group that is as protected and immune to criticism as them.

it's like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. but ultimately the muslim students win. the LGBTQ's are bunch of muslim-hating xenophobic virtue signaling racists! at least that would be my story if i was muslim
muslins -- flawless victory.

Yeah, I'll give this win to Muslims. If the progressives continue to push this, they may end up butting heads with the extremists. It gets really dangerous for them at that point. Plus, they're already at a disadvantage given that many leftists have always defended Islam against criticism.
