i don't follow transformers, and didn't realized the same guy has been doing the voice from the 80's cartoon up until now -- this sort of of made me tear up! when he goes into optimus he takes 40 yrs off his voice! amazing.

Yeah. It's amazing that he sounds like a grandpa in his normal voice, but his Optimus Prime voice hasn't aged a bit.
EDIT: actually makes me sad about Kevin Conroy's passing. He's another one that already looks like a grandpa, but when he does the Batman voice, I get transported back to being a 10 year old boy watching BtAS during Friday nights (which is the best part of the week ever at that age. You can stay up a little bit later without worrying because there's no school tomorrow and the day after. Unlike Sunday nights, which is horrible because you can't enjoy anything knowing that school starts again tomorrow.)
