I saw the lengthy fight scene they were bragging about. It was underwhelming. It felt like one of those old chinese kung fu films where the actors are obviously following a choreography - there were lulls in the fight as one of the participants was waiting for the other to make their agreed-upon move. It's a really far cry from the raw realistic hallway fight scene from Daredevil.

The fight scenes in the Netflix series were crazy! Disney is going to look like weak sauce in comparison. This prison fight with Punisher blew my mind. |

Yeah, that's pretty weak compared to the Netflix series but pretty much par for the course for Disney Marvel. The worst sin is what they've done to Kingpin. Way to neuter a great villain.

My pet theory about Kingpin -- which I just made up -- is that he's a stand-in for Orange Man Bad. The rest is self-explanatory (basically it's revenge fantasies against a proxy figure). |
