it's beyond crazy. how many girls have to be put into comas by 30-something mediocre male ex-athletes on estrogen before it stops? my favorite part, "Jenner, 74, competed against men when she won the Olympic gold medal in the decathlon in 1976." ?!!!! there has to be a better way to put that. she didn't win it, he won it! they've jumped the heck out of & "cancelled" martina navatolovia ... btw, harry potter is a damn girl! he doesn't need hormone replacement, he's already there.

That’s nonsense. Science says he’s wrong. There are these pesky things called “chromosomes” that get in the way.
There’s something I call “The Crank Rule” that needs to be implemented. If one of the swimmers on the girl’s team has a crank, then that’s a dude. Off the team, there can be no argument. Enabling the delusion that a guy is a girl doesn’t fly in real life. We shouldn’t be expected to pretend with them.

Snow White. That’s one of those things that people are bending over backwards to change when people don’t want it changed. Like she said in that clip, it’s from 1937, it’s a beloved classic, people aren’t looking for it to be revamped.
So the guy saves the woman, so what? She’s acting like that’s some outdated thing when it happens every day. And people get mocked for not liking a Hispanic playing Snow White, she has skin like driven snow, the entire story is literally built on that.
People wanting classic characters to look like they have been portrayed for decades are painted as raging bigots. Leave the classic characters alone and create new ones to check off your boxes, how hard is this? They just picked a new James Bond, I’m shocked it’s not a black trans woman.

All Rachel Zegler had to do was shut up and be gracious and she couldn't manage that. Like we really want to hear what some shit for brains 22-year-old has to say on the subject of this classic she lucked into playing.
Speaking of Zegler, I can't believe she was given the Peoples' choice award for action star for that stupid Hunger Games prequel. The same year John Wick and Mission Impossible movies came out! I guess we know the People's Choice Awards are fake now.

Yeah, the last thing I want is a 22 year old know nothing lecturing me about stuff I know more about than she does.
I’ve never seen any of her movies, but I’ve seen John Wick and Mission impossible and there’s no way her movie tops the action in those.
Another example of rewriting a classic character to be “modern” is the golden age Green Lantern. I’m a big GL fan in particular, and I especially like the GA GL, but you look away for 5 minutes and some wiseguy makes him gay? What the hell? Since when? That guy has been around since 1940, has been shown as married with children but he’s gay now. That’s trendy, I guess. I’ve met the late creator of GL, Mart Nodel, and I doubt he gave the okay for this. He’s probably spinning in his grave.

They made Obsidian gay, so when he was blinked out of existence by the nu-52, they made the youngified Alan Scott in the "Earth 2" book gay instead. Now that the JSA is baack, they're terrified of the woke crowd (hell, they're the woke crowd), so they can't have Alan Scott going back to being straight now that they've set a precedent. Yeah, Marty Nodel is turning over in his grave. |

It’s just annoying. I didn’t like the Earth 2 GL being gay and I really hated making the original gay. It’s incredibly lazy. All the gay people out there, go ahead and do your thing, just don’t bother me with it. Like Dennis Miller once said, gay people are free to do whatever they want, I just don’t want to hear about it every second of every single day.
And I think gay or black people would be insulted by changing the race/sexual orientation of established characters just to placate them. Create some new characters, for cryin’ out loud!

I heard somebody call it the bigotry of low expectations. They don't think a new character would have enough agency to make it on their own, so they have to swap race and/or sexual orientation with an existing character. Iceman is another who bugs me, since I grew up watching Spiderman and his Amazing Friends. The way they did it was weird and forced, too. It's almost like Jean Grey made him gay. |
