'late night with the devil'. starring, incredibly enough, polka dot man! i didn't understand the ending, but still it's a masterpiece. made by a bunch of damn aussies! where the heck is hairynutts at when we need him ?

it is freaky! it's blowing up. 97% on the tomatometer! you can see it on shudder.
The horror-only streaming service Shudder broke its record last weekend with the release of "Late Night With The Devil," a relatively low-budget horror flick that became the largest acquisition ever for both the AMC Networks-owned niche streamer and AMC+ in its opening weekend.
and amazon prime. i saw it on my damn jailbroke firestick for free! i was a little shocked to get it so easily. i watched seinfeld's 'unfrosted' on there too. what a dog! and everyone is FINALLY getting out their pent-up hatred on seinfeld for being so rich and for 20 yrs ago getting a teenage wife.  dammit, leave jerry alone.
but 'late nite ...' is like the modern 'the exorcist'. raw, refreshing & shocking. horror fans are calling it a masterpiece. incredibly well made, great performances. now i really wish i'd seen it in the theater.

I saw it as well. Dalmaschian (I forgot how Polka Dot Man's name is spelled) is really good, not just as the lead but I heard he had a hand in the writing as well. Seems like dude has writing chops (I also read a horror comic he was writing - Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter - it's not groundbreaking by any means, but decent enough that I have nothing bad to say about it).
