I just got the Planetary Omnibus hardcover book from Amazon (turns out they provide free shipping to my country as long as the book costs $50 and above. Didn't even need to pay customs fees. Just have to shell out for the book itself.) This is my first omnibus ever. How the fuck do you read these things? Way too heavy to read with one hand, and it's so thick that when you spread it out on the desk, it closes in on itself and doesn't even show the entire page. Are these things meant for collecting only?
Story's good, but I should have bought the multi-volume TPBs instead.

that's suppose to be incredible. i ain't read it, but i'll wager babu has. i don't know how u read it in that format. that might be the one people keep as a collectable. when i bought the collected 1970's manhunter appearances from detective comics in soft cover, i got two. one to keep pristine and sealed up and one to read on the toilet! to fully digest it. i'm currently "bath-rooming" (the late) peter straub's 'mrs. god'. good book! before yall judge me, i've never touched my cell phone in the bathroom once! i call one of my young co-workers, 'mr. dirty phone'. he hates that!

I don't take my phone or tablet to the bathroom. I'm very clumsy so there's a very real possibility that I'll accidentally drop it in the toilet. Or just anywhere where there's water and then my phone will explode and give me access to the speed force or something.
