Anybody else read this?
Deconstructions of Superman are a dime a dozen, but this one isn't as pretentious as many of the prior attempts - Waid doesn't come off as thinking that he's too clever for Superman stories. He's deconstructing the character, not the way the character or its story was written (e.g. he tries to explain some of the powers and the inconsistencies in the mythos instead of just pointing a finger at it and going "look how stupid this is" like many other Superman deconstructions are wont to do).
There are mature themes and a little bit of gross scenes, but it's fairly subdued. Sex is tackled but the actual act isn't shown (maybe a panel or two, with all the naughty bits covered by shadows or strategically placed furniture) It's nowhere near what you'd expect from Alan Moore these days and is practically Archie and the Gang when compared to Garth Ennis' stuff.
There's also only 37 issues so it's possible to read everything in a couple of days.

I think it was that Maxwell Yezpitelok dude. He loves Superman, in a very sexual manner.

That's not an "S", you know.

The "S" stands for Shakespeare. True story.

I thought it was the size of his shirt. I mean, it explains why it's so tight.

I've never read this, but I need to. Mark Waid is such a huge Superman fan, so it would be interesting to see how he deconstructs the mythos.

No, I mean the art I found of Superman ripping his shirt off only to remeber he was already in costume. Perhaps you need to see it for it to be funny. Yes.
