I've been re-watching all the Red Dwarf episodes in order on Netflix. It's aged, but it's still funny. The humor ranges from silly to very clever, and everything in between. Since I haven't seen any of the most recent series, I'm looking forward to the "new" material after I get through with all the series that I've seen so far. Anyone else a fan?

I've got a Doctor Who fan club I go to once a month. WE watch Red Dwarf episodes, too. The old episodes hold up really well, and the new ones are funny, too.

i watched it when they aired on pbs several years back, and recorded a bunch. i really loved it! at the time it was like i'd discovered it -- no one i knew had any idea. there were lots of good episodes. the one where they assassinated jfk was extremely trippy. i didn't like the ones after the whole crew were brought back to life as much. and that rimmer was a real smeg head, i'll tell you

Is Return to Earth the one where the dreadlock guy finds out he's his own dad?

No, that happened a bit earlier, not long after Kristine Kochanski joined the crew. It was in the episode called "Ouroboros."
I just finished watching all the Red Dwarf episodes that exist. Happily, the newest version -- Red Dwarf X, released in 2012 -- goes back to its "roots" with a good mix of sci-fi and humor focusing on the main four. If you have a chance to check it out, it's well worth it. Reminded me of Red Dwarf's heyday back in the early '90s.

Is Red Dwarf airing anywhere now? I wish BBCA or ScyFy would pick it up.
