I think if it's a boy, you should name it after me. Both Babu and Starsky would be very unique names for a lad.

Not yet. We still have three months to go.
We're having a boy, and I did push -- and push hard -- for the name Babu Starsky Marty McFly, but the wife wouldn't go for it. Sorry.
This week has been crazy. I had to empty out my office so we could paint it as the baby's nursery. But I've been working on my laptop without a desk for the past several days, because my new office/dining room area isn't ready yet. We've also been painting around the apartment and putting together a whole lot of new furniture, even though we haven't gotten rid of the old crap yet. My wife took vacation time, so she's trying to do as much as she can, but she's 6 months pregnant and gets tuckered out quickly. I've had a lot of work dropped in my lap over the last few days, too, which I've had to complete while getting everything else done. It hasn't left me much downtime.
I'm going snowboarding on Saturday, though, so I'm looking forward to that. I've been biking between 20 to 40 kilometres (12 to 24 miles) every four days or so to get back into shape before I go. Because last year when I went, I was really out of shape and felt it. I swear, at one point when I was on the mountain, I thought I might die, I was so out of breath. That's what happens when you have a desk job and no reason to get any exercise. I've been getting more active since then. I figure I'll need the energy, because I'm going to be a new daddy at 40 years old, and I need to keep up with my kid.

have fun! with all the stress you probably can use it. biking, is good, builds up your legs & wind. if yer legs aren't built up at least a little snowboarding will destroy you

Congratulations, TTT! Get ready to be even more tired in the future!
and just a tip, practice swaddling the baby (i don't know if that's the right term, where you wrap him in a blanket and shussh him, giving him the similar sound and feeling he felt while inside the womb. It really calms the baby down during crying fits.)

And no matter how old you and your kid get, these moments will seem like they were only yesterday.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get work done when my brain feels like it's been cooked in the microwave from lack of sleep.

whew, for me it was my eyeballs. damn. i remember one morning i was able to squeeze into my wife's coat, thinking it was mine. it was that bad. the first few weeks are the worst. caffeine is going to be your best friend for a while. yer lucky. when i had mine, there weren't 12 different energy drinks at the supermarket. and naps, grab one any time you can. and family members -- especially mothers & mothers-in-laws. use them like crazy! everyone is gonna want to help, and everybody will want to get in some baby time

The lack of sleep definitely got to me. I started to feel a little drunk all the time.
