Anyone like this show? The first season was released 10 years ago, but at the time I only saw a few random episodes, and I'd originally thought it was a poor successor to JUSTICE LEAGUE based on what I saw. I finally started watching it on Netflix in order, and realized how awesome it is.
There's a story arc that slowly builds throughout the first season, having to do with the Justice League's existence creating a power shift on Earth. Amanda Waller and the Cadmus Project, with help from Lex Luthor, slowly begin to find ways to take down the Justice League, and there are some genuine questions raised about the disturbing fact that the JLA Watchtower is essentially a giant laser cannon in space.
The characterization is fantastic, and there are some really great guest voices, including Nathan Fillion as the Vigilante (Greg Sanders), and tons of heroes and villains from the DC Universe.
I told my wife about it, but she can't get past the fact that it's a cartoon featuring super-heroes. Cartoons and comic-books are her kryptonite.
I haven't begun watching the second season yet, but I understand it has to do with the formation of the Legion of Doom. Looking forward to it.

I was kinda miffed they went from just the 7 members to the whole damn party in JLU...but I got over it. There are some really awesome story lines though.

I loved Superman's "walking on egg shells" bit, where he showed a powered-up Darkseid what he could do if he wasn't holding back. Too bad it was anticlimactic because Darkseid rebounded.

I was a little hesitant when they widened the scope, too, but some great stories came out of it. It was fun to see some characters that you'd otherwise never expect to see animated. DC really should have used the JLU version of the Question instead of taking the character in the direction they did.

The episodes with The Question were really good...it was a great arc...I think it was CADMUS. Some of my favorite episodes of JLU: Grudge Match The Enemy Below The Great Brain Robbery -- so many great lines in this one!! Savage Time For the Man Who Has Everything A Better World This Little Piggy Kid Stuff Epilogue
