So when was the last time anyone has seen this? I never knew we had a star trek cartoon until 2005 which i did not seen it until 2008 on youtube it was pretty damn good, It's been aired as reruns on Nickelodeon in the 80's and The Defunt Scifi Channel (Now Syfy) in the 90's then On TV Land's Short lived Cartoon Block in the early 2000's, It's a shame no other tv station would rerun this but one time when i was at Walmart i saw this on DVD but sadly didn't have any money to get it and hadn't seen it in stores since... Which is a shame.

I wish someone would air it. The cartoon series is supposed to pick up where the live series left off.

I've seen it, it's absolutely incredible! i love 'filmation' anyway. they did a great 'batman' cartoon in the 60's, and i loved the 'batman' they did with adam west & burt ward in the late 70's. their tarzan, isis, and 'planet of the apes' are really good too, but Trek is BY FAR the best thing they ever did. it really took the old series to the next level. and they were able to get the whole original cast & writers! imagine! back then you could still do that. that was back when shatner was an out-of-work actor scratching for guest shots on network tv series like columbo. but yeah, it's the best TV series to animation ever done

Yeah those Filmation cartoons are so good if only their was a retro cartoon channel that would air them... Like Boomerang since they air Mostly Hannah Barbara cartoons that would be so cool

the cartoon channel is such a disappointment. they should be showing a lot of great old stuff. yeah, everything they did on 'boomerang' was hannah barbera. but it was still pretty cool. i do like some of their 'adult swim' shows
the stupid sci-fi channel (owned by NBC/Universal/Comcast) is even worse! they should be airing 'lost in space', 'manimal', and a bunch of great old crap, but instead they put on a lot of junk with washed up or doped-out has-beens like 'lou diamond phillips' and 'jeremy london' -- stuff like shark-nado! (I guess considered their masterpiece) designed to make a profit by going straight to video. they don't even show old sci-fi movies. i don't even bother checking them anymore. whew, sorry about the rant

Pro wrestling belongs on the sci-fi category. John Cena's explosive fury, otherworldy charisma, and phat rhymes can only be explained through science fiction.

I have no idea who John Cena is. I haven't kept up with wrestling since Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, and Andre the Giant were in the ring.

I read that the Star Trek cartoon actually won a daytime Emmy.

LOL! Most of those guys are married with kids now.
With game shows and soap operas as the competition, I could see where it might not be too hard a pool to rise to the top of.
