So hard to believe that they're saying he committed suicide. I grew up watching Robin Williams in movies and TV, and I even named my dog "Mork" after his Mork & Mindy character when I was a 10-year-old fan!
It's always hard to imagine how a guy who's brought so much laughter to the world can suffer from such deep depression.
Rest In Peace

I didn't see this before I posted my Robin Williams thread. Yeah, this is a real shocker! Apparently, he had a few irons in the fire like another "Night at the Museum" film. So that he might have committed suicide is all the more tragic. I was a big Mork & Mindy fan, too. I even had a Mork action figure

i don't cuss much, but shit. I had the freaking lunchbox!! seriously!
i hope this is a mistake. when i saw garp on cable as a kid it seemed so cool & mature to me. and mork at 30, g-d, to me he was an old guy. i haven't liked everything he did, but this would be heartbreaking

I had a pair of rainbow Mork suspenders when I was a kid.

The cause was surprising to me. he didn't seem like the kind of guy who would off himself. I mean, really angry guys like Mel Gibson or Alec Baldwin, yes. But Williams has always struck me as someone that's happy with his life. He's not really in the middle of any controversies and he's actually one of the few comedians who successfully changed genres (compared to guys like Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler, both of whom actually turned in decent dramatic roles but still get panned by people.)
