Didn't see it. I can wait for netflix. I changed my mind and saw this movie the other day. I thought it was great! At no time did I get bored wanting this movie to end. I hope this raises the bar for future comic book movies.

Karen Gillan looks hot even with blue skin and no hair. I've started looking at pictures of Dopey Smurf with a tinge of lust.

This movie has outgrossed Man of Steel. WB needs to take a long look at their movie strategy. Especially the "no jokes" rule.

DC's really having trouble catching up to Marvel at this point. I have a feeling that a big part of the problem is that there's a bunch of guys on the upper chain of command who are completely out of touch and are just following (their usually misinterpreted view of) trends. The cartoon side of things is one thing, and games is another.
They tried aping Marvel's ultimate alliance games with disastrous results, and when they saw that MOBA games like DOTA are making bank, they make their own. Except MOBA games are a tough market to crack because there's already so many established games out there, and due to the fact that the genre is not novice-friendly. Meanwhile, Marvel's got its fingers on several lucrative game pies, all of them designed for casual players.
I actually think that the only property they know how to handle right now is Batman. The movies, the tv shows (related ones at least. They shitcanned Beware the Batman even though it's doing well), and games are all doing fine. Maybe the trouble is that they want to approach all of their IPs like they did with Batman, because that's what worked for them in the past? Kinda explains everything going all grimdark.

wow. it's like history repeating itself! DC comics were old fashioned & out of touch compared to what marvel was doing in the 70's & the major comics fanbase moved to marvel. it's happened with the films now! the marvel films, aside from the punisher & daredevil, they haven't done anything truly awful. well, the first hulk movie sucked, but it didn't "catwoman" or "green lantern" suck

LOL. I love that fake cover.
I'd say it's happening with the comics, too. DC comics are stuck in the 90s now.
