i saw it today and really enjoyed it! it ain't doing well at the box office against the likes of ninja turtles with noses, guardian of the raccoon galaxy, or sin city 2. i was prepared to be disappointed, but was not. it was very exciting! and bandaras was hilarious. i didn't know he could be so funny. but i did know mel gibson could be so scary. and he was. if the worldwide gross is good, they'll probably crank out one more

I guess playing the villain is the only way Mel Gibson can break back into the acting bidness. Nobody will accept him as the hero anymore.

They probably did it so that they can get the film shown in China. It's a booming market for films but their government is very strict on which films will be shown on which theaters. Marvel allegedly changed the Mandarin character in order to avoid pissing off the Chinese. And they shot a new scene just for the Chinese version, adding a popular local actress (Fan Bingbing) to the cast list. Fan was also in Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past as Blink.
And then there's Bay, who shot a large part of Transformers 4 in China and gave kickass martial arts scenes to a couple of minor Chinese characters (one of which was a popular local actress named Li Bingbing, who played Ada Wong in the last Resident Evil flick. Not related to Fan.) DreamWorks is also courting the country by starting a local studio in Shanghai.

y'know, during E3, stallone's timepiece caught my eye. i thought hello! it sported a red diver's band & had a nice sterile look to it, and i thought, if i gotta go to jc pennys & plonk down fiddy dollars for one of those, so be it! turns out they retail at $125,000, but his was probably more like 145! no wonder he has to walk around carrying that big knife

Even if I had that kind of money, I couldn't pay that much for a watch.

Yeah. For me to throw that kind of money on a watch, it has to do a lot more than just tell time. It has to let me travel through time.
