I can't believe no one else has commented on this! This was a fun episode. The Doctor goes "undercover" as a caretaker at Clara's school to set up a trap for a dangerous robot.
Danny Pink finally finds out about the doctor and so does a teenage female student. It looks like they're setting up some parellels with the original Doctor Who: an older Doctor, 2 teachers, and a teenage girl. It should be interesting to see where this goes.

I saw the parallels as well. I love how Capaldi is bringing back the crass side of the doctor. Smith went too far on the side of loveable (only showing bits of it earlier in his run, like when he almost fired Amy Pond as a companion during the space whale incident.)
I still don't like Danny Pink. Although not in the Walking Dead's Andrea sense. (In Andrea's case, I blame the writer. In Who, I blame the character.) I thought the acrobatic thing was ridiculous.
Another nifty bit was the doctor mistaking Clara's other friend as her boyfriend, and giving his approval because the friend looked kind of like Matt Smith. His description also fit Pink's similarities to his time traveling descendant so Clara didn't catch the misunderstanding.

Been crazy busy this past weekend -- didn't get to watch it until Monday.
Danny's not a perfect guy -- and I like that.
It was an okay episode but I really liked that they finally addressed the "time" issue for Clara in her real life.

the acrobatic thing -- really stupid. unless later he turns out to be a fembot or whatever. g-d neil, i'm so with you here. danny acts like a pouting bitch. and clara is bending over backwards for him -- not literally (dammit!!). "clara, why didn't you tell me you went on all these space/time adventures that, if you had told me, would've made me believe you were absolutely crazy? *pout pout pout*"
g-d what an asshole!! and really, i was okay with him in the previous one. but in this one, the jerk actually makes me miss rory! rory couldn't do a spinning back flip, but he wasn't a bitch! there were nice things in the episode, but the clara/danny relationship made it definitely my least favorite of the capaldi ones so far. yuck

I think Rory could take Pink in a fight. He has several hundreds of years experience as a plastic Roman soldier, after all (he spent a thousand years defending sleeping Amy underground. And he hasn't forgotten it, like when he went back to soldiering in A Good Man Goes to War.)
...and in this latest episode, Pink strikes me as one of those insecure boyfriends who manipulate their girlfriends into staying away from an older friend.
