I've begun watching the Toxic Avenger movies on Netflix, which were made by the infamous Troma team, well known for all those B-movies they made back in the '80s and '90s, with all the really fake-looking gore, and a lot of T&A and such.
I was thinking that the Toxic Avenger is due for a major reboot. So, assuming you know anything about the character, how would you reboot the Toxic Avenger?

i had a friend who was really into troma. toxie was basically all i liked. damn, the fat guy getting stuck into the escalator still haunts me
there was a lot of talk about a toxic avenger reboot that involved arnold schwarzenegger (not as toxie) a couple of years ago, but i guess the project died when Arnold bowed out. a reboot would need to be less camp than the original, i think. more at the level of the first robocop. i'd certainly lose the damn mop. i'd make him less discusting looking. more like the first swamp thing. i'd cast a washed up former star -- val kilmer comes to mind! he'd have to be heroic with the cops & government against him, but the public on his side

I hate when they remake the classics!
All I've got to say is he'd still better be wearing the tutu
