This was a cool, creepy episode as the Doctor faces off against two-dimensional beings. The creatures leach off the dimensional energy of the Tardis, so Clara has to act on her own with his guidance and Clara learns what it is to be the Doctor.

I agree. A nice episode. I've always liked Who episodes with enemies that would come off as a supernatural phenomenon if it weren't explained (like the Vashta Nerada, or the Angels, even that giant demon from Satan's Pit.)
I've also noticed that the past few episodes have always had scenes that sort of teased the doctor taking on a new companion. Blue from the Dalek episode, the engineer from the Mummy episode, the sassy kid from Clara's school, even Rigsy on this one.

I really thought that kid and Pink were going to end up as regulars on the Tardis, but it's pretty far into the season now for that to happen.

Pink doen't annoy me as much as hedoes everyone else. It's obvious he did some bad things while he was in the service. I'm curious to see what those were.
