there's has never been anything done on film or tv connected to sleepy hollow that i've seen that i like at all. i may have enjoyed the book about a skinny guy getting scared sh-tlessby the headless horseman when i was six. but i'll tell you, this new series is surprisingly good.i didn't expect anything, but was pleasantly surprised by the pilot, and have kept watching.has nothing to do with the original story -- man they have taken crazy liberties with the material. But in a good way! the publicity pics look like friggin 'van helsing' or something i know, but it's not just another piece of medieval-punk doo doo. come on and give it a try screenrant.com/sleepy-hollow-premiere-review-fox/

I seriously wish I'd seen that pilot. It looks like a cool show. I haven't seen it though, because I have a habit of forgetting when the hell shows I want to watch are coming on.

Sleepy Hollow is crazy good -- and when I say crazy, I mean crazy. It's probably the BEST new show (for me) for the 2013-2014 season.
Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane is marvelous casting...even though I had ever seen/heard of him before now. The chemistry between he and Nicole Beharie (Leftennant [hehehehe] Abbie Mills) is fantastic. Orlando Jones has really surprised me as well. I've only ever seen him in small/bit roles in movies and wasn't very impressed. John Cho -- love him and his character has me stumped.
This past week's episode - The Vessel - was so fucking creepy, I almost had to turn it off. Demon Possession is one of the very few things that absolutely freaks me out...and boy was this episode just so damn freaky!
Next week is the 2-hour season finale...and it's bringing back John Nobles reoccurring character. I can't wait!!

the show has been very consistent. surprisingly so. there are soooooo many ways they could have screwed this up! so many. but they managed to avoid it. the casting and the writing has really made this show. they haven't over-played romance or race, but don't avoid it. they've put in some great bits that developed the characters without getting too cute. the close bond between abbie & sheriff corbin (and her visions of him), that's a nice touch
the actor playing ichabod is very very good. i hate to keep bring up hugh jackman all the time -- but this guy is believable in the part, in a jackman-esque way. nicole beharand (sp?) is fantastic in the part. there are so many actors they could've used here that I would have immediately not liked. and for once, there's a female character in a series who looks like she could actually work in law enforcement in real life! and she's an extremely likable character. and i love how much the 'george washington' you see occasionally, looks EXACTLY like the guy on my money!
there are little things, like where ichabod is in the squad car is talking about his lost love at the beginning of an episode, and it turns out he's talking to an ONSTAR lady to get the car door unlocked, who's sobbing uncontrollably. i remember orlando jones from way back when the FX channel first started! he & jeff probst were doing news breaks & interviews. But he is really good in this
sleepy hollow is being called a surprise hit. i like this quote:
"Sleepy Hollow" did take the nation by surprise with its highly addictive blend of supernatural adventure and police procedural.

it's turned out to be the only show i'm watching consistently beside 'american horror'. i have two episodes saved i haven't watched yet, one is 'the vessel'. wow, on paper "almost human" seemed to be head and shoulders above 'sleepy hollow'
i watched two episodes. like the lead actor, but otherwise it did nothing for me. have you looked at 'the corbin files' on youtube?
