"this is crazy -- those banks are still operating!" says doc quantum in amazment. "this ain't strüdel!" exclaims joey faust in terror, throwing off his coat. "lucky i found this gat in the old gal's car!"
he starts pumping slugs into the nearest computer bank until babu rips the gun from him.
"are you insane?!" yells babu.
the computer bank begins to smoke.
"we need to get out of here!" yells the huntress diana. "that door! that looks like an old government keypad."
"i've seen those," says doc. "it's one of the old 1970's ones! They are virtually impregnable. We need to find another way out. there's no way ..."
faust works on it for a few seconds and it slides open.
"let's go!" yells babu as they all run out.
"i'm your biggest fan!" exclaims edna.

When they enter the doorway, they find themselves in a psychedelic hallway.
"Great googily moogily!" exclaims Joey Faust. "Did someone slip me a mickey?"
"Oh my goodness!" Edna cries, "Did I mix up my medicine again?"
The walls of the hallway seem to pulse and change as they moved further in. "What the hell's going on here?" MH shouts.
"I think the computers were keeping whatever this is stable," Doc Quantum says.
"Oh then coming in here was a great idea," the Huntress Diana says, rolling here eyes.

"this hallways seems filled with junk," says babu feeling around. "a stuffed giraffe? some old desks? an ol' timey haunted fair ride?"
seconds later the group are flying down the hallway in the ol' timey fair ride.
"mh keep your eyes shut!" cautions babu. "your incredible manhunter instincts should lead us out of here!"
"ghaaa! you schmoes have killed me again!" yells joey faust.
:i'm your biggest fan!" exclaims edna.

As they soar down the hallway, different figures begin to blink in and out of existence. They quickly recognize them as the villains who had disappeared.
"Look! It's the Purple POssum!" Babu exclaims. "...now he's gone again!"
"It's Bizarro SuperJesse!" MH says, pointing. "Now He's gone!"
"There's my old foe Dirk Dastardly!" Doc Quantum exclaims.
"Now he's gone, too!"
"It's like a Who's Who of our rogue's gallery," The Huntress Diana says, pointing to a cyborg woman who's lower half was a 4-wheeler. "There's Bitch on Wheels! I wondered what happened to her!"
"But who's collecting them and why?" Doc says

they crash thru another set of doors and the cart slows to a halt. "it appears to be stable in here. it's a vast library ... the biggest i've ever seen." says babu.
"it's so big. it looks almost endless." says the huntress diana.
"goody!" cries edna. "i was a librarian for nearly fifty years!"
"that's really why i brought her." mh whispers to babu, "the mullet told me and agent starling, along with the safe cracker we needed a librarian. if we want to get out alive."
"i'm your biggest fan!" exclaims edna.

They step off the ride and walk up to one of the bookcases. "Something about this one seems to draw me to it," Babu Baboon says.
He takes out one of the books and flips through it. "There are images of our foes in here!"
"Notice anything unusual?" Doc Quantum asks.
"Yes. Some images blink in and out, like Doctor Bum. Others, like the Plaid Iguana, stay put."
"The Plaid Iguana was one of the first to disappear," MH says.
"So whatever happened to him might be permanent," Doc Quantum says.
"If someone had to disappear permanently, I'd rather it be that demented ass freak, Doctor Bumm," MH says.
So... those palookas are stuck in these books?" Joey Faust asks.
"Yes, and you may have shot up their only way out," Babu says.
"Hey, now don't be giving Joey the stink eye!" Joey Faust says.

as the monkey alliance members search around for any avenue of escape, joey faust who has not seen a woman in a while sweet talks the huntress diana in his native dialect, criminal. "baby, i fell for you in a big way and i don't mean maybe! go on the lam with me and i'll cover you with jewels and furs! baby, i'm tellin' ya', you got what it takes!"
edna whispers to diana, "i'd do it. he's cute!"
the huntress diana gasps and says, "joey, you just blinked out! ... now you've done it again!"
"the library must be claiming him!" exclaims babu baboon.
"you crumbs have killed me again!!!" exclaims joey faust.

"He's starting to appear in this book!" Doc Quantum says, looking at the page of the book they were holding earlier.
"oh, that poor man!" Edna says.
"How do we get him out?" Huntress Diana asks.
"Probably those old timey looking computers," Babu says.
Those are all shot up!" Huntress Diana says. "We wouldn't know how to work them anyway.
"Damn!" Babu says. "I wish Steve were here!"
